Editorial design is about building visual systems capable of ordering content, guiding reading and giving personality to each publication. It's a balance between typography, compositional grid, hierarchy, visual rhythm, use of white space, art direction and editorial production.
I have developed editorial projects in very diverse formats: flyers, bi-folds, tri-folds, direct-mail campaigns, premium catalogues, commercial dossiers, reports, large-format documents, books, stories and corporate publications. Projects where design resolves not only the layout but also the narrative structure, the organisation of information, the editorial style and the brand's visual coherence.
The grid is the underwear of the book.
Massimo Vignelli
My experience spans both print and digital media, working from content planning and image direction to the design of inside pages, covers, grid systems, typographic selection and pairing, print-ready artwork, proof review, printing materials, binding, special finishes and coordination with printers and suppliers.
I see every editorial project as a complete communication piece, integrated within an editorial workflow: clear, functional, visually refined and technically impeccable, from the initial concept to its final production.
